We are looking for Senior Care Assistants to join our line management team here at Burlington Court.

We specialise in dementia care and the position will involve you being in charge and accountable of the shifts you work.

As a Senior in charge of the shift, you will be overall responsible for the resident's care, staff on duty and the unit.

We have three or four nights per week available.

DUTIES: Tasks may vary but will include:

Assisting residents with personal care.
Medication rounds – Administrating.
Writing up the daily notes at the end of the shift for each resident.
Ensuring that all documentation is detailed and complete.
Direct staff to ensure all residents are checked and cared for as per their plan of care throughout the night.
Inducting new care staff.
Assist in reviewing night sections of the care plan.
Taking charge of any emergency following our procedures.
Checking of any wounds or injuries and completing the daily body map forms.
Updating and communicating with families for residents who are unwell or receiving end of life care.
Communication with health professionals.
Attending Monthly Senior staff meetings led by the Care Home Manager.
Attending any emergency bell situations where you will assess and treat the resident accordingly. This includes falls, skin wounds and dressing changes.
Ensure the cleaning and ancillary tasks are completed by the night team.
Delegating tasks and duties to your team of care staff.
Receiving/Giving handover to/from the next or previous shift senior.
When on shift you are part of the team complement and as such are required to help and assist with all aspects of residents’ care

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: must currently hold a NVQ level 2 (Adult) or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 1 year experience in senior care role or equivalent.
