Summary

Special Educational Needs (SEN) 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school is Chesterfield S43, who are in need of an SEN TA. An important factor to any childs development is consistency. Having a familiar face coming in regularly helps to build trust and a relationship.

Job Description:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
- Support students with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility assistance if required.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times.

Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs preferred.
- Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support diverse needs.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training (e.g. , Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Makaton training).
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
