Our client’s focus is to provide their customers with fast, reliable competitive hosting, from their own Data Centre. They’re now looking for a proactive individual who can spot problems before they happen and who wants to take the next step in their tech career.

In this role a typical day will include...

Getting a call from a customer with a technical issue that they need support with
Building technological resilience to prevent future problems.
Communicating with clients, providing checks, offering additional support and services where necessary
Creating and updating the procedures library
Managing, maintaining and monitoring queues for all company and customer infrastructure alerts
Ensuring that security policies and procedures are followed. Including physical, network, servers and data security
As this is a technical role, there are various technical skills our client would love to see! However, we understand that not every item on the wish list is always possible, so please apply if you have experience of most of the following key skills...

Advanced level networking skills including, managed switches, VLANs, CAT5/6 Cabling and some understanding of BGP.
Linux installation and support with some Windows.
Previous experience in a support desk / IT Support role
Exposure to Telecoms and VoIP would also be beneficial.

Working structure

This role is part of 24/7 cover and therefore you will be required to be on call via a rota which is currently split 3 ways
