Summary

The successful candidate will be based across the primary age range supporting the delivery of PE and sport as well as the national curriculum. You will be responsible for raising the profile of sport within school and helping children to progress their physical skills and sportsmanship. You will plan and deliver a range of sporting clubs and support with the delivery of PE sessions. You will work alongside the class teacher to support teaching and learning, lead small groups, make observations of children; and communicate with parents and carers.

Training will be provided in line with the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Standard (Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning) through Redcar College. The successful candidate will be given one half day release time per week to access remote learning.

Experience of participating and leading in a range of sports
Good communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to use initiative
A willingness to complete all learning and assessment requirements of the relevant framework
