Summary

The Estates & Facilities directorate is seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Sustainability. This is an exciting opportunity for a sustainability professional to join the Estates & Facilities Senior Management Team in a busy, customer focused environment. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for leading the University’s sustainability and climate emergency (net zero) programme; to deliver and develop a comprehensive, integrated, cost-effective and progressive service.

Although based in Estates & Facilities, the role works across all areas of the University to support the delivery of our strategy for sustainability. There will also be the opportunity to further develop, and maintain, liaison with the wider local community and other external organisations.

The post will be based at the University’s Plymouth city campus. The University supports flexible working where possible but, as this is a senior role, there will be a requirement to work regularly on campus to ensure collegiality. This is a full-time post working 37 hours a week on a permanent basis and will need to be flexed according to the demands of the role.
