Summary


We have a vacancy for a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist at Parklands House Oak and Aspen wards. We are looking for somebody who has relevant experience in the OT profession who can help guide the team.

We are an adult, working age mental health unit with two 22 bed wards for males and females in the Oldham area.

The successful applicant will be working with an existing team consisting of 1 Band 6 OT, 1 QAP and 4 OTA's.
• To identify and assess Occupational Therapy need and plan therapeutic interventions using the Model of Human Occupation
• To be responsible for prioritising own work load using screening tool and to delegate work to QAP/OTA's as required.
• To work within the multidisciplinary team on each of the wards.
• To liaise, plan and co-ordinate with other professional agencies, including CMHT, Housing, Third sector agencies to ensure continuity of care and quality service.
• To participate in ward rounds, discharge planning meetings, care plan reviews, Best Interest meetings, and informal discussions concerning patients.
• To be responsible for writing accurate and concise clinical reports using Model of Human Occupation outcome measures and to ensure up to date and accurate records are maintained regarding all patient contact.
• To comply with HCPC Occupational Therapists standards of proficiency.
