Summary
The Senior Structural Engineer will take a leading role in the structural engineering team, focusing on building appraisal and the refurbishment and repurposing of existing structures. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project leadership to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.
The Senior Structural Engineer will lead the design and execution of structural projects from conception through to completion. They will mentor junior engineers, ensuring project goals and client expectations are met with engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and allocate resources effectively for all assigned projects.
Deliver detailed designs using materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, and timber.
Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and CDM Regulations.
Conduct thorough site investigations and resolve any issues that arise.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and team members.
Lead business development activities to further enhance the company's market position.
Experience & Skills Required:
Chartered Membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers and/or the Institution of Civil Engineers would be ideal.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and TEKLA.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
Demonstrated experience in building appraisal and the structural refurbishment of existing buildings.
