Are you a dedicated and experienced Qualified Teacher with a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic and skilled SEND QTS professionals to join our team and make a significant impact in Hackney Borough schools!

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons: Create and implement lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students with SEND, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.


Support individual and group learning: Provide targeted support to students with SEND, both one-on-one and in group settings, to help them achieve their educational goals.


Develop and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs): Work collaboratively with other staff, parents, and specialists to develop and review EHCPs, ensuring that each student's needs are met.


Monitor and assess student progress: Regularly assess and track student progress, using this data to inform and adapt teaching strategies to support student development.


Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment: Promote an atmosphere of respect and inclusion, implementing strategies to manage behavior and support students' social and emotional well-being.


Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold QTS and be fully qualified to teach in the UK.


Proven experience working with students with SEND: Demonstrated experience in supporting students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities in a school setting.


Strong knowledge of SEND strategies and interventions: Comprehensive understanding of effective strategies and interventions to support the learning and development of students with SEND.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, building strong relationships and working collaboratively.


Flexible and adaptable approach: Teaching can be dynamic and challenging, so flexibility and adaptability are essential to thrive in this role.
