Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and talented people to join St Astier, a leading Specialist Contractor in the North East. We are based in Seaham, County Durham, however our expertise is sought throughout the UK. We offer a variety of work and there is scope to learn new skills which are centred around heritage masonry, lime plastering, concrete repairs and structural repairs including piling and ground anchors.
Job Objective:
The overall objective of the role is to carry out quality work on site as part of a team and contribute towards the completion of contracts in an efficient, co-operative and constructive manner.
Essential Requirements:
Be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Be willing to work outside the North East and stay away from home where required
Have a good understanding of Health & Safety
Be flexible regarding working hours
Be willing to do overtime (including weekends)
Have a courteous, professional attitude
Have a desire to learn and develop with the job
Desirable Requirements:
Hold a current CSCS card
Experience of using relevant equipment, plant and machinery
Have an interest in structural repairs, specialist concrete repairs and stone restoration
Experience in trailer towing
