Summary
The main duties will include supporting the clinicans in clinic to increase capacity across the X 3 locations where podiatry services are delivered.
Assisting with ordering and stock control.
• To support the team in providing a highly specialised podiatry service in a clinic setting to adults with a range of foot care needs, providing a high standard of clinical care in community settings. This involves assisting the registered staff in ensuring appropriate pathways of care for patients who require those services.
• To contribute to the assessment and the treatment of individual patients on the caseload and communicate any changes in care needs to the registered staff.
• Provide clerical and clinical assistance to Podiatrists in the treatment of a wide range of Podiatric conditions.
• To contribute to the smooth running of the clinic ordering stock ensuring stock levels are maintained and clinic is set up appropriately.
• Carry out observations record accurately and report abnormal results to senior colleagues.

1. To help implement and evaluate podiatric care to variety of patients with a wide range of clinical need, e.g., high risk diabetes, chronic neuropathy, vascular problems, and rheumatoid arthritis, under the supervision of a podiatrist.
1. To provide foot care in line with the individual treatment plan in the form of education, assessments and redressing’s for wound care patients where required.
1. To notify the podiatrist if there is any change in the patient’s health status that may influence the treatment plan.
2. To ensure that all information relating to clients and staff gained through employment with the Trust is kept confidential. Disclosure to any unauthorised person is a serious disciplinary offence.
3. Understands the processes, techniques, equipment, terminology, and basic theory relevant to the work area.
4. To maintain accurate patient records if required, using SystmOne record system.
5. Understands relevant legislation, policy and guidance.
6. Able to carry out delegated tasks and to take responsibility for the completion of tasks.
7. Able to solve straight forward problems by integrating information from more expert sources.
8. Understands when to seek guidance from more expert practitioners.
9. Can undertake basic maintenance of work area equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained.
