Summary

We require a Wrap Around Care Assistant for after school club who will be responsible for the delivery of safe, creative, appropriate activities and general welfare of pupils.

• Previous experience working and caring for children desirable but not essential.
• Passion to deliver high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities.

Hours: Monday to Friday 3pm - 6.15pm, during term time, plus 5 Inset days and any agreed hours during school holidays. Full or part time applications considered.

Duties will include:

• Work in partnership with the Wrap Around Care Supervisor / Management Team to implement broad, balanced and appropriate activities for children of all ages. Participate and lead activities where needed.
• Prepare and serve healthy and well balanced meals/snacks for the children attending, taking care to meet each child’s dietary requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring the safe arrival of children at the club and the safe delivery to carers at the end of the day.
• Keeping children safe and minimising risks in the wrap around care environment, including daily risk assessment checks.
• Promote equal opportunities for children, families and staff and actively address inequalities in the setting.
• Be committed to the safeguarding of all children in the setting, to always follow our policies and procedures and to role model good practises to ensure the safety of all children, families and staff.
• Work requires bending, kneeling and crouching for periods of time and may also involve lifting or holding children during activities, and changing nappies/toileting duties.
• Work with the other staff ensure the area is clean and tidy ready for the next session, washing up is done, general mopping and cleaning where appropriate.
• Administer First Aid as appropriate. Willingness to undertake specific training including First Aid.
