Applications are invited for a full-time position in The Lysholm Department of Neuroradiology at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, UCLH NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking for two talented and motivated individuals to join our friendly multidisciplinary team and to support the ongoing workload of interventional and diagnostic neuroradiology services in one of London’s premiere Teaching Hospital Trusts. A recognised fellowship or appropriate consultant experience in interventional neuroradiology is a requirement as is the ability to undertake work in all aspects of acute adult neurointervention including acute stroke.

Candidates must hold full GMC registration and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of receiving their CCT in Clinical Radiology at the time of interview. Essential qualifications for this post include at least 18 months subspecialty training in neuroradiology in a recognised centre. The post is offered on a whole-time basis (10 Programmed Activities, on-call 1 in 6 for interventional neuroradiology.) Applications for a part-time appointment will be considered.

The appointee will be expected to take part in departmental governance and training of interventional and diagnostic specialist trainees. Expertise in spinal interventions and management of head and neck vascular malformations will be an essential.

The successful candidate will join a team of 21 adult diagnostic neuroradiologists and work within a team of 5 adult neurointerventionalists. He or she will be fully supported by a thriving and friendly department. Two new biplane angiography rooms and a new CT scanner have recently been installed as part of a major ongoing refurbishment and redevelopment of the department. The department is also equipped with three 3T MR, one 1.5T MRI and an Interventional MRI suite. The department supports Gamma knife surgery on site.
