Summary

The Business Support
Officer Apprentice at GMLPN plays a pivotal role in supporting our mission to
enhance the employment and skills system in Greater Manchester. By providing
administrative, operational, and event coordination support, the apprentice
contributes to the smooth functioning of the network, fosters collaboration
among members, and promotes positive change within the region's education and
employment landscape.
Main Responsibilities:
1) Provide Administration


Coordinate
diaries for the GMLPN Team & Board, scheduling meetings, and appointments
Record
meeting notes and action items, ensuring accurate documentation and timely
follow-up
Maintain
and order stationery, office equipment, and other materials as required
Assist
with ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by management
2) Membership


Tracking
member engagement across business and project functions
Responding
to membership questions and enquires
3) Event and Meeting Coordination


Support
the coordination of business and project events including, the setup, on the
day and post event activities
Support
the launch and ongoing coordination of the GMLPN member awards – launching
August 2024
4) Projects

Provide
administration support for projects and initiatives as required
5) Accountancy

Generate
and raise invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients.
Monitor payment schedules, follow up on outstanding
invoices, and support the implementation of standing orders for members.

Training

Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

Qualifications required
Essential: GCSE Maths & English grade 5/C and above



Preferred: Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

Skills - The ability to identify challenges in your day-to-day role and work to
find solutions
IT Skills: Familiar
with using standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
Excel, Outlook).
Communication
Skills - Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for
interacting with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Teamwork
and Collaboration - Working collaboratively with the GMLPN team and wider
stakeholders to achieve shared goals and contribute to a positive environment.
Organisational
Skills - Strong organisational skills to manage efficiently, prioritising work,
and ensuring everything is kept in order.

completion of the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, for
