What It Takes:

An important part of the staff role is to support our individuals who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.

So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.

Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life.


Where You Would Work: Coombe House
Coombe House is an innovative specialist nursing home for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and associated physical health care needs. The service offers accommodation for up to 12 people in a characterful and specially adapted building standing in landscaped grounds in Kidderminster.
This is a highly specialist nurse-led service with capacity to meet the needs of people with the most complex of presentations. The service team proactively maintain relationships with professional and statutory colleagues to ensure a wrap around and integrated approach to each person’s care is maintained. The service is long established, highly regarded and consistently rated ‘Good’ by the CQC.

Salary Details:

Support Worker Full Time and Part Time contracts available. £21,131.76 per annum


*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies*
*Salaries are subject to change from 1st April 2024 in line with national standards*
