Summary

CCTV Operator - Supported Housing – Sydenham.

Dinardo Care and Support Ltd, a leading supported housing provider, is seeking a dedicated CCTV Operator to join our team at our Sydenham branch. We specialise in providing high-standard accommodation and living services for vulnerable adults dealing with mental health conditions and other complex needs.

As a CCTV Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our supported living sites and the residents that live within. Your responsibilities will include monitoring CCTV cameras, promptly reporting incidents to the relevant team members and collaborate with the wider team and in responding to incidents. This will include recording any anti-social behaviour, accidents and incidents and provide a report to the Senior Management Team. Additionally, you will conduct CCTV footage reviews and perform daily camera checks.


About the role:

* Monitor CCTV cameras across our Supported Housing sites in Southeast London. This will be in real time and require the use of multiple screens

* Report, and react swiftly to any incidents or emergencies.

* Maintain effective communication with the night team and relevant managers.

* Conduct thorough CCTV footage reviews and complete necessary forms and logs.

* Perform daily checks on camera functionality.

* Monitor any instances of suspicious, unusual and Anti-Social Behaviour both in the units and in the locality

* Focused tracking for high risk, high incident areas as directed by the Management Team.

* Liaise with night managers and the night team, providing detailed information about, events, individuals or areas of concern.

* Functionality: Ensure the CCTV system is fully operational, and that video footage is recorded and stored appropriately.

* Evidence Collection: Assist investigations by providing access to CCTV recordings or copies of footage when required.


What to expect:

You will work over 7 nights - 4 nights on and 4 nights off (8pm-8am) £13.15 per hour.


About you:

Essential -

* Prior experience operating CCTV systems

* Excellent organisational and administrative skills, knowledge and capability of Microsoft, Word and Excel; self-sufficient in the operation of computers; excellent literacy skills

* Excellent communication, report writing with the ability to liaise effectively with all team member and managers.

* The ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively, and prioritise different areas of work according to need.

*Ability to use your initiative and make appropriate decisions when faced with emergencies or unexpected situations.

* An understanding of the issues that might be encountered in such a setting.

* Willingness to undergo training and development to enhance own knowledge and skills.

* Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

* Knowledge and understanding of Equality and Diversity and Inclusion opportunities and willingness to challenge discrimination at all levels.

* IT skills including Word and Excel to compile correspondence and reports.

* Knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures.

* Knowledge of General Date Protection Regulations and how they apply in using CCTV systems

Desirable -

* Familiarity with safeguarding procedures

* SIA CCTV Licence

* Ability to respond appropriately to challenging situations and problem solve.

* Familiarity with case management systems.

* An awareness of Mental Health Issues in a Supported Housing setting.
