Summary

Estates and Facilities Cleaner

Salary: £ 13,482.50 pro-rata based on FTE £21,572 per annum

Part time: 22.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Working pattern: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - 7am to 3pm

Location: Wentworth Castle, Barnsley, South Yorkshire

We are looking for an Estates and Facilities Cleaner to join our team in our unique College based in Wentworth Castle – a Grade 1 listed building. Reporting to the Estates, Compliance and Health & Safety Manager, this role will involve a varied range of duties providing a professional cleaning service across the residential accommodation areas of the college and other areas within the College as and when required to ensure that the cleanliness across the wider campus is maintained.

Key duties:

  • Provision of a professional cleaning service of the College
  • Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting and scheduled deep cleaning of designated accommodation areas (all of which include toilet and associated facilities and communal and corridor areas) and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate the necessary powered cleaning equipment and materials provided.
  • Changing of bed linen in accommodation areas.
  • Assisting in removing/packing/storage of items as may be required

To be successful in this role, you will have and be able to:

  • Clean to a high quality standard within required deadlines
  • Experience of working effectively as part of a team
  • Experience of being able to work flexibly and independently
  • Basic digital skills and the ability to use Microsoft applications for communication
