We are thrilled to be partnering with one of the Uk's leading investment management companies with a 200 year legacy for building trusted advice on Wealth Management and Investments.
Due to expansion, they are looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join an existing team to deliver an outstanding client experience. You will demonstrate excellent communication and people skills, together with the ability to develop good working relationships and coordinate across both operational departments and client facing teams.
The role involves providing technical research services to the Planners and ensuring the preparation of client advice is of the highest quality and delivered efficiently. The individual will be able to utilise their experience and thorough understanding of the advice process and suitability letter requirements, ensuring these are reflected in the work of the team.
Key Responsibilities of Paraplanner:
The Paraplanner will work closely with the Planners and wealth administrators to provide support by answering technical queries on areas such as tax, legislation and any products the clients may have or may need to help them meet their financial goals. The individual must also be conversant with preparing Voyant cash flow forecasts.
What core skills are required?
· Strong background in the Financial Services industry
· CII Level 6 Chartered status, attained.
· Previous experience within an IFA or Wealth Management company
· Knowledge of paraplanning and client support processes and understanding of risk.
· A good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and interest in the investment management industry.
· Familiar with Voyant software
· A good working knowledge of in-house systems e.g., Xplan, Fiscal, Pulse, Workflow is desirable but not essential.
· Ability to manage and delegate tasks quickly and work with limited supervision to tight deadlines. The ability to collaborate with others bringing people together to deliver good, client focused outcomes.
· Excellent attention to detail. Enthusiasm and self-motivation
· Good time management skills. Willingness to learn and develop communication skills.
· Strong demonstration and belief in the company's BID objectives
· Mentoring, training, and development of team members
· The fostering of a good working culture which is inclusive and encourages personal development.
The client supports hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
