Cleaning Operative
HMP Doncaster
Full time, 40 Hours A Week,
Monday to Friday, Routine: 05:00 – 13:30 (subject to change)
Salary: £21,851.34

Key Purpose:


- The post holder will be responsible for taking care of our facilities following our cleaning schedule.
- Act as a supporting function in the challenging environment of a secure establishment.



Key Accountabilities:


- Clean all areas that are assigned within the Cleaning Schedule.
- Maintain cleaning stock within designated areas.
- Comply with Health & Safety Cleaning Procedures.
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies.
- Carry out any other duties as directed by your Line Manager.



Essential qualifications & Additional/special features of the role:


- British Institute of Cleaning Services (BICS) desirable, training provided.
- Basic Health & Safety qualification.
- Self-motivated with ability to use own initiative working to deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Operate equipment i.e. vacuums, buffers & wet vac machines.
- Carry out all duties assigned in a safe manner, observing all statutory and local regulations.
- Ability to handle and dispose of confidential information with sensitivity, integrity, and good judgment.
- Previous experience essential



Additional/special features of the role:


- Biohazard cleaning could be required with training provided.
- Recognise areas of improvements of working practices.
- Maintain records of tools.
