We are currently recruiting for an Environment, Health & Safety Advisor to support the implementation of the Environmental, Health & Safety strategy at Muller, Yogurts and Desserts. You will be responsible for ensuring objectives and targets are achieved such as being a net zero business by 2050, using 100% recyclable materials by 2050, 30% reduction in water brought onto our sites by 2030 and reducing our overall Health, Safety and Environmental risks and impact.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

- Ensuring that our organisation adheres to the environmental sustainability standards and practices.
- Responsible for understanding, implementing and continuously improving the environment (14001) and sustainability management systems and sharing best practice across the organisation.
- Lead the deployment of the sustainability action plan, with a focus on the planet pillar (waste, water and energy).
- Reporting, checking and validating environmental data using internal trackers and software such as Carbon Desktop to provide insight into trends.
- Using operational excellence methodology, such as sustainability roadmaps, problem solving, process flow mapping, 7 wastes, assessment and risk and impacts assessment, you will proactively identify and implement solutions to reduce our risks and impacts to the environment.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation with our colleagues to collectively achieve our environmental sustainability goals and targets.
- Collaborating with internal & external stakeholders to investigate common opportunities for carbon, waste, and water reductions.
- Coaching and encouraging stakeholders to drive behavioural change regarding energy efficiency, waste management, and environmental impacts and aspects.
- Acknowledge the identification or poor environmental practices within our business.



Requirements for the role:
Essential

- Positive can-do attitude and a passion for environmental and sustainability work.
- Experience within an operational excellence environment with knowledge of continual improvement methodology.


- Strong data analysis skills,
- Confident with interpreting results to identify key areas and present plans to meet KPIs.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of team.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experienced in Project Management.
- Championing new initiatives with a proactive mindset.



Desirable

- Level 3 qualification or higher within an Environmental or safety discipline (or commitment to complete whilst in role).
- Experience within a food manufacturing or other FMCG organisation.
