Primary Education AdvocateFixed Term for 12 months with extension possible dependant on future grant funding, Full Time pro-rata term-time only plus 5 days (37 hours per week).BG10: £33,204 - £36,648 term time only plus 5 Days pro-rataThe HOPE Virtual School are pleased to announce we are recruiting for an Education Advocate (Primary).
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team and contribute to the virtual school’s objectives in securing the best provision and educational outcomes for children in care. You will work alongside young people, carers, social workers, education settings and other professionals to ensure every child has a high-quality personal education plan that supports their education and training.
You will work closely with multi-agency partners and education settings to ensure the actions in the plan are carried out and care-experienced young people are supported in all areas of their education.
If you have experience of working with young people in education, knowledge of the challenges children in care may face and experience of planning for and achieving success then we would welcome your application.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.
For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
