We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic team player to support the children in our small, friendly and nurturing Infant School. We aim to develop happy, healthy, independent learners who work towards a better future for themselves and for the world in which they live. We have a vacancy for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children on the graduated pathway of support. We believe we have the team, experience and positive school culture to support you in this role. The candidate would need the ability to form a safe, secure and supportive relationship with children with additional needs, whilst showing patience and consistency. They will support learning, play and child development.
Candidates should: • Be able to deliver high quality support. • Have a good working knowledge of Child Protection / Safeguarding. • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent). • Show good written and verbal communication skills. • Be able to work with and under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo. • Be able to liaise with the parents / carers. • Be committed to high standards of inclusion and be able to demonstrate a balanced approach to difficulties using both nurture and structure.
