Summary

As a Senior Commis / Junior Chef de Partie at Sodexo within Nuffield The Manor Hospital in Oxford (OX3 7RP), you'll collaborate closely with the Head Chef to maintain the highest standards in our kitchen operations. What you’ll do:

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of dishes under the guidance of the head or senior chef.
  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development.
  • Ensure work areas and equipment are kept clean and tidy.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the brigade to ensure service runs smoothly.
  • Comply with all Company and hospital policies and procedures, and statutory regulations, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH.

What you bring:

  • 1-year Previous kitchen experience
  • Basic food-handling skills are desirable, but not essential if you are willing to learn.
  • Great communication skills
  • A positive attitude with a and a passion for cooking
  • Willing to learn new skills e.g., Health & Safety, Health & Hygiene, Food Safety

Package Description

We're seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef eager to advance to the next level, or a Junior Chef de Partie keen on crafting a career trajectory focused on continuous learning and skill development, ensuring they're on the right path.

  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • 5 over 7 days, shifts during the hours of 7am - 7pm
  • £12.00 to £12.50 per hour
  • Parking on-site
  • Free meal on-shift
