Summary

These include: PATIENT AND CLIENT CARE Provide a highly specialist clinical service in the treatment of veterans mental health including initial assessments and managing an agreed caseload in accordance with Op Courage service performance guidelines and the Op Courage NHSE Service Specification. Provide evidence-based treatments based on a collaborative/ MDT formulation of the clients difficulties. Evaluate and review treatment at appropriate intervals using both clients' reports and validated standardised measurement tools. Ensure all clients receive appropriate follow-up. Provide clinical supervision to the nursing staff and student nurses to comply with professional standards. Provide a consultation service for other professionals in both primary and secondary care with regard to the suitability of referrals. Develop and deliver group interventions appropriate to client presentation. Take a leading role in the process of assessment and triage, including acting as a point of reference for junior staff regarding triage decisions. COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIPS: Maintain effective communications within and external to the Op Courage service, and across the partnership agencies and organisations. Contribute clinical leadership and specialist knowledge to the Op Courage referral management process and meetings. Provide clinical leadership within area team and/or area of specialist expertise to all clinical staff. Contribute to the regular service/ team business and clinical meetings. Develop and maintain effective communication and liaison with GPs/primary care/secondary care services and colleagues in Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and other relevant services across the South East. Represent and promote all aspects of the Op Courage service, both locally and regionally.
