Summary
Provide Education are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a Special School in Calderdale. The school's young people have a range of complex learning needs including a variety of SEMH needs, ASD and ADHD. The school are looking for someone to undertake learning support of their vulnerable children in 1:1 and small group basis'.
Our lovely client school support primary and secondary aged school students aged 6 - 16. The school support their students based on their individual needs, EHCP's and IEP's. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with children or young people with SEMH needs. Ideally you will be Team teach or PRICE trained, however this is desirable not essential and Provide Education do offer in-house Team Teach Level 2 Training.
The role includes:
- Supporting students and providing a safe, friendly and stimulating environment to learn in
- Form professional relationships with young people and adopting a nurturing approach
- Understand and follow individual Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
