Are you a recent psychology graduate passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs?
LTF are working alongside our partner school in Newham who are seeking individuals looking to train, or qualified ABA Teaching Assistants. You will be required to provide 1:1 support to two young children with ASD. supportive mainstream school while using the principles of ABA to enable them to access learning. You will also be responsible of supporting the learning needs of these pupils in differentiating the curriculum to suit specific needs.
As an ABA TA you will:
- Working with the class teacher to appropriately differentiate each area of the curriculum to be delivered through the pupil's personalised ABA plans.
- Work on a 1:1 and small group basis when needed.
- Implement strategies to support individual needs of the students including ABA and Speech and language support.
- Develop and use appropriate resources to enable next steps in learning.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field.
- A passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students.
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting children.
This role would best suit someone who has experience of working with primary children in a support role. It would great fit for psychology graduates, speech and language graduates or anyone with a background in SEN. Please submit your CV via the application page!
