Science Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons that cover a range of scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics, tailored to the needs and interests of students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, practical demonstrations, and laboratory experiments to bring scientific concepts to life and demonstrate their practical application.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore scientific phenomena, and develop their scientific reasoning skills.
- Assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.
- Promote a love for science by showcasing its relevance and importance in everyday life, and encouraging students to pursue further study and careers in STEM fields.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree in Science or a related field.
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching science within a UK school setting is preferred, but not essential.
