A school in Waltham Forest are looking to recruit an experienced behaviour mentor to work with their fantastic staff, whilst also focusing on 1:1 intervention with a specific child in year 6. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to gain experience and be a part of a very supportive team. This role is for someone who has amazing communication skills as you will be interacting with children, teachers, and parents. This role is focused mainly on the boy in Year 6 and is a full-time role, which will be able permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with children to gain a good understanding and promote positive behaviour.
- Create action plans, assess progress, and have strategies in place to encourage positive behaviour.
- Support students with social, emotional, or behavioural problems that affect their ability to learn.
- You will need to be a positive role model able to utilise and help deliver the curriculum.
- Will be required to give 1:1 support to a boy in Year 6.
- Liaise with parents and carers to report pupil's progress.

Requirements:
- Successful experience with a similar setting and working with children with SEN.
- A valid DBS or willing to apply for a new one.
- You will need to be patient and can adapt to any situation.
- Hold a relevant qualification/degree.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
