Summary

About the Employer

I am looking for a personal assistant (PA) to support me in the mornings, with daily tasks. I am a woman in my mid-twenties, with multiple health conditions, including migraines, chronic fatigue and hypermobility syndrome. I live in Duffield with my assistance dog and I enjoy listening to audiobooks. The role is to enable me to live more independently, by supporting me with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, accessing my medication and completing admin on my behalf. I am looking for someone who I am comfortable with, who is diligent, reliable, and happy to be around my assistance dog. No experience necessary. Must be a non-smoker and free from chemicals e.g. perfumes. I require support from a PA, for one hour every morning. This means I will require two PA's who will work on a 2 days working and 2 days off rota. I am looking for support from around 9.30am, although this is flexible. There may be opportunities for additional hours. Working rota and times can be discussed at interview.

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting,
showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.

• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.

• Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.

• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.

• Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g.
hospital/doctors.

• Support with food shopping.

• Support the individual to look after/care for pets.

• Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.

• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.

• Support with managing paperwork & correspondence.

The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Transport Requirement

Car driver preferred but not essential.
