Summary

HR Advisor will provide advice and guidance to management and employees on all HR related matters in line with legislation. Support the Head of People, Training & Development with the delivery of the people strategy. This role will have a particular focus on Employee Relations, Performance Management and Learning & Development.
Role and Responsibilities

Employee relations

• Advise line managers on all HR matters in line with legislation and best practices
• Conduct meetings, investigations and hearings, providing expert support in a range of employee relations matters
• Support the Head of People in the delivery of a proactive service addressing issues before they escalate
• Provide coaching and support to managers to effectively deliver performance management





Employee Lifecycle

• Manage the onboarding and offboarding of new starters and coordinate the process with HR Assistants
• Ensure consistent application of HR processes across the organisation.


Recruitment

• Support the HR Assistants with recruitment initiatives including vacancy advertising
• Conduct screening interviews where necessary
• Ensure that candidates are always kept up to date with regards to their job applications and their progress
• Support the Head of People with the delivery of an effective recruitment strategy.

Training & Development

• Support the Head of People in the delivery of an effective L&D strategy
• Monitor mandatory training completion levels for the charity and provide regular updates to the Head of People, Training & Development
• Book training for staff where necessary and support the Head of People with training budget monitoring
• Research and come up with new training initiatives & programs in line with employee development needs and organisational needs
• Support management in identifying training needs for their team members.

HR Projects

• Collaborate on HR projects, such as performance management and employee engagement initiatives
• Implement and communicate changes to HR policies and procedures
• Work with the Head of People to deliver the EDI and Wellbeing strategies
• Contribute to the development of the People Strategy and HR delivery plans
• Lead on bespoke HR and cross functional projects providing people related expertise as required
• Analyse employee engagement surveys and deliver results to management
• Support the Head of People with new system’s implementation.

HR Administration

• Write job offer documents and any documents related to ER cases
• Keep all HR systems up to date and recommend changes/improvements where needed
• Support the HR Assistants with payroll processes when necessary.
