Summary

Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.

A little about myself:
I am a young woman with ME/CFS and POTS/Dysautonomia living in Swansea. My conditions have been life changing and leave me exhausted and unable to do the things I used to be able to do. I get bad days where I am bedbound due to exhaustion and dizziness, and now only leave the house for medical appointments due to limited energy and POTS symptoms.
I am an ambulatory wheelchair user as I'm unable to stand for long or walk distances. On better days I would like to be able to get out and about more, but this would mean using a wheelchair if accessing the community which I would need support with as I can't self-propel. I would like to go for a walk with my dog in the wheelchair, go for coffee, shopping, or a drive etc.
I am looking for a PA who is open to working with me to find a routine that works for us both.

Female preferred.

Driver required to take me out.

Rate of pay: £12.75.

• Like dogs and a cat
• Be Flexible
• Have physical strength to be able to carry a wheelchair up/downstairs - it is lightweight but does weigh 14.5kg
• Be a driver.

Desirable I’d prefer if:

• You have previous experience.
• Be First Aid Trained
• Able to use initiative and be able to carry out tasks alone.

I’d like support with
• Some elements of personal care
• Meal prep
• Support to attend appointments.

I will need my PA to:

Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
