We are excited to announce that we are working with Bury council and housing partners on a scheme which will open in August 24. The name of the scheme is currently St Mary’s however this will be renamed by the new tenants.
St Mary’s is a beautiful property in the centre of Bury comprising of 8 self-contained flats for young adults aged 18 – 25 with mild learning disability and/or autism. St Marys is designed to support the development to independence for a maximum of two years, after which individuals will be supported to live a fulfilling life in the community.
We are looking to recruit a service manager for 30hrs per week to lead and manage this services. You will be a person who thrives on making a positive difference and who enjoys empowering people to succeed.
As a service manager you will be responsible for the daily operational management of the service including supporting and managing a staff team, ensuing that people using the services are provided with support which enables development and personal progression whilst ensuring that the service is compliant to internal policies, procedures and external legislation and standards.
You will be involved in the assessment and transition of young adults moving into the service, consulting with social workers, families and other professionals. You will develop the team to be focused on enabling others to achieve their individual goals and aspirations.
You will be supported in this role by the Registered Manager and the supported living management team
