Summary
The key areas for the post-holder will include: The candidate will take part in the weekly colorectal MDT amd will be expected to undertake colorectal cancer resections Provision of clinical leadership in the delivery of a high quality emergency surgical service. Participate in relevant audit and quality assurance processes, including reviews of manpower requirements. Be involved in research All Consultants will be required to undertake a minimum of one 360 appraisal in a five year period to comply with the Revalidation process. The successful applicant will be expected to participate fully in the annual job planning review to be eligible for pay progression. Trust has an established formal development programme for newly appointed consultants including a mentorship approach to settling down as a new consultant.
