Summary

Mercer Exhibitions Ltd in Blackburn are recruiting for an Exhibition Stand Installer. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Furniture Occupations which will take approximately 24 months to complete.

Duties:
- Taking responsibility for pre-installation surveying; sales and plan interpretation
- Transporting tools and materials to site
- Making the assembly and placement area ready for work
- Interaction with the installation team, site managers, project managers, designers, customers and other trade peole
- Follows HSS procedures and report back and log any accidents/near misses.
- Onsite build - loading of trucks and ensure stock is loaded correctly and safely ensuring no damage is occurred under supervision
- Liaising with the wider projects & design team to ensure clear understanding of project challenges, material requirements and timescales.
- Prebuilding/Setting out of stands in the warehouse
- Working on site along side sub contracted man power to complete projects.
- Maintaining timelines and priorities on every project under supervision
- Working as part of a team to ensure that specific projects are delivered efficiently
- Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery
- Ability to read working drawings
- Working at height
- Construction of Exhibition Stands
- Working on modular exhibition stands around the UK and Europe.
- Manufacture/Refurbishing of custom elements.
- Prebuilding/Setting out of stands in the warehouse.
- Loading/Unloading vehicles.
- Carrying out installation/removal work to a high standard.

Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence is desirable
- Exhibition or shop fitting background with an ability to demonstrate both bench and site joinery
- Own vehicle
- Able to work away - both around the UK and overseas
- A strong work ethic
- Ability to work under pressure

Grades:
There are no formal qualifications required.

Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, 30 mins paid lunch and 15 min break. 40 hours per week
