A day in the life of…
As Head Housekeeper you will be responsible of leading the housekeeping team and being a key member of the Hotel’s Management team. You will display a proactive and innovative approach to skill development and enhancement in your team while accurately assessing needs of the business in terms of staffing and ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained and monitored throughout the hotel. Finally, you will co-ordinate constructively with both reception and reservations so that the day-to-day operational requirements are successfully delivered.
Based in the Mercure Glasgow City Hotel, you will be part of a team of passionate people who know that being the best doesn’t always mean working around the clock.
What do we need from you?
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess, a hands-on approach taking responsibility for the cleaning and servicing of all allocated rooms within the daily task rota in accordance with company standards with overall responsibility for the department. You will assist with stock control and inventory checks and be responsible for carrying out checks on the rooms which have been cleaned to ensure property standards have been met. You will be knowledgeable in the facilities the property offers to its guests. Working with the Management team in creating a positive work environment for not only the Housekeeping department but all team members. You'll lead with a positive, behaviour breeds behaviour attitude to elevate the standards of the team even further.
