Location: Nellsar Homes, Essex, Kent and Surrey
Contracted hours: Full-Time
Hourly rate of pay: Starting from £12 (depending on experience and qualifications)

We are currently on the lookout for positive and motivated individuals to join our growing team as a Senior Health Care Assistant. As with all roles at Nellsar, the job title requires someone who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly. What does the role involve?

Your role will be key to driving and motivating our Care Team. You will be responsible for:

· Managing, Monitoring and Supervising a team of care staff, junior staff members and other team members to ensure our residents receive high quality person-centred care.

· Welcoming and admitting new residents, including care planning and administering medication if needed and reviewing effectiveness.

· Providing all aspects of care for residents including personal care, assisting with meals and feeding if required.

· Monitoring standards, supervising and inducting Care assistants, other team members and junior staff.

. Monitors service user conditions by checking vital signs and contributes to record keeping.

.Dealing with medical emergencies within the care home.

.Undertaking simple dressings and wound care, maintain effective infection control processes.

.Maintain effective professional relationships with external health professionals and residents families.

What skills do I need?

· A compassionate and caring nature

· NVQ3 /RQF 3or above qualification

· Up-to-date clinical skills

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal

· Ability to nurture and develop staff

· Good organisational skills and the ability to work unsupervised

· Ability to foster and develop communication with external agencies

· Ability to manage your workload and maintain standards
