Summary

Recruitment Officer
Telford
Temporary – possibly temp-to-perm
£13.40 - £16.40 per hour depending on experience
Monday-Friday – 8:30am-5:00pm

Prince Personnel are working with a Telford based client who have a vacancy for a Recruitment Officer to join their busy HR team. The role will support the overall Talent Management strategy and the successful applicant will undertake the day-to-day activities of the full recruitment process as well as maintaining full administrative and audit activities.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:
• Proactively source and contact candidates and promote internal vacancies to them.
• Manage and coordinate the implementation of the Recruitment and Selection procedures including: advert preparation, writing job descriptions, contacting candidates, interview preparation and coordination, attendance at interviews, overseeing appointment decisions, processing of appointment documentation, carrying our pre-employment checks including DBS processes and reference checks.
• Take lead responsibility for the recruitment, selection and induction process ensuring a first class candidate and employee on boarding experience.
• Support Managers to help understand and identify their recruitment needs.
• Contribute to a culture of proactive recruitment that anticipates and secures future talent
• Conduct and utilise market research and analysis to formulate and implement effective sourcing solutions to include social media and networking.
• Act as a point of contact for external partners and agents working on behalf of the organisation in relation to recruitment activity
• Build and promote the employer brand of the organisation as an employer of choice.
• Ensure that employee records are maintained by updating the HR database with all staff details including DBS, right to work evidence etc.
• Maintain, revise and develop relevant paperwork and audit files to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedure and legislation and to ensure a best practice approach is adopted.

Skills and Experience:
• Previous recruitment experience is essential
• You must have a positive proactive approach in contacting potential candidates
• Able to build credibility and rapport with hiring managers and candidates
• IT literate including MS Office packages
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Organised and able to prioritise own workload
• Available for to start at short notice
