Summary

Manufacturing Planner

Location: Telford
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hrs – early finish on a Friday (Flexi-time after Probation)
Salary: up to circa £36k per annum

We are working with a market-leading manufacturing organisation who are looking to bring in an experienced Manufacturing Planner to take responsibility for ensuring Inventory Control, Materials availability and effective production scheduling in order to meet customer demand.

This is a company who have experienced some amazing growth and have really developed their organisational culture and ethos over the recent years. This role would suit someone who already has experience within manufacturing planning (Production, materials and inventory) and is looking to join a company where they will progress and grow as the business goes from strength to strength.

The Manufacturing Planner will be responsible for:

• Creating effective production schedules by utilising forecasts, capacity and sales demand data whilst ensuring resources are optimised and lead times are minimised
• Ensure purchase orders for raw materials and components are placed with suppliers
• Ensure MRP system accuracy and that parameters are accurate and up to date
• Ensure effective levels of raw materials, components and finished product through effective inventory management
• Work closely with other departments ensuring effective communications


Skills and Experience
• Previous experience in a similar role such as Planner / Production Planner / Production Controller / Manufacturing Planner / Production Scheduler / MRP Planner / Materials Planner
• Previous experience in creating production schedules
• Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability
• Experience of working extensively with MRP/ERP and Planning systems
• Strong knowledge and experience using MS Excel
