We support people to make positive changes in their lives. Our creative, tailored solutions improve people’s skills, and provide guidance, motivation and confidence, job opportunities, and training to help them progress towards a better future. Underpinned by our experienced team, effective processes, strong community presence and established employer and partner relationships, we help drive people and businesses forward to a better tomorrow.

Right now we are looking to recruit an IPS Employer Engagement Consultant in the Surrey area.

We are seeking an Employer Engagement Consultant who will play a vital role in supporting employers with business advice and guidance to recruit, engage, and support individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and those with neurodiversity needs into sustained employment.

You will deliver bespoke advice and forge strategic partnerships with local businesses. The work that you do will sustain those in work and provide pathways for individuals looking for supported employment.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting employers in creating inclusive and disability-friendly environments, as well as a background in working with adults with disabilities or advising employers on inclusion practices.

YOUR IMPACT:

You will develop employer relationships through a mix of cold calling, networking and leads generated through marketing initiatives.
You will empower businesses with personalised, practical support tailored to their inclusive employment aspirations. This includes conducting organisational needs assessments and identifying best working practices for individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and those with neurodiversity needs.
You will support employers to enhance their understanding of hiring and working with programme participants, including Access to Work, Reasonable Adjustments, and the Disability Confident Employer Award.
You will work with other programme practitioners to understand their pipeline needs and desirable employers or sectors for programme participants.
You will maintain effective relationships with employers by offering business support and guidance to optimise internal processes for integrating staff with disabilities.
You will work closely with employers to identify, structure, and recommend recruitment and training solutions to meet specific needs; for example, job carving/creation, intervention measures, advice on inclusive recruitment practices, and options to increase skills and confidence.
Additionally, the role involves improving attitudes towards people with disabilities, championing inclusion, providing advice on legislation, raising aspirations for employees with disabilities, promoting good practice examples, ensuring awareness of communication needs, offering constructive feedback to improve processes, and delivering high-quality service in line with Get Set UK's values and operational principles.
WHO WE SEEK:

A deep understanding of disability employment issues.
Excellent communication skills.
Commitment to strengths-based practice.
Experience in employer engagement.
Knowledge of local labour markets in Surrey.
Ability to work independently and be a great team player.
OUR PROMISE TO YOU:

We're here to support you as much as you support our clients. Our mission is clear: to empower, ignite opportunities, support resilience, and nurture career success for everyone.

Our workplace is dynamic, committed, encouraging, and empathetic. We believe in fostering an environment that is not just about professional growth but also personal well-being. As part of the Get Set UK team, you'll enjoy:

Competitive salaries that appreciate your hard work and dedication.
Comprehensive pension schemes designed for your future security.
Healthcare packages that prioritise your well-being.
Gym memberships to support your physical health and mental clarity.
An inclusive employee forum where your voice is heard and valued.
Continuous training and development opportunities to help you grow and succeed.
We are proud to be part of a team that supports local people, across local communities. Our services are developed and delivered to a standard that sets us apart from the crowd!
