About the role:
Our Activate Educator Academy team have an exciting opportunity for an L3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme Designer to join the team on a short term contract. This new post will be developing of our revised L3 Teaching Assistant standard with embedded SEND skills. Your subject matter expertise will be skilfully combined with an excellent knowledge of how best to engage learners.
Working closely with the Head of Delivery for the Activate Educator Academy, you will map, plan and design all aspects of the taught apprenticeship programme of delivery. This programme will offer learners an outstanding experience as they gain the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in preparation for their End Point Assessment. As a starting point, you will have access to our current apprenticeship delivery models that embody best practice in terms of design, delivery, compliance and engagement.
This is a fixed term, part-time role working 2 days per week. An immediate start is preferred as the main apprenticeship programme will start in early October and we would like the bulk of the work to be completed by this time. The role is preferably hybrid, with some days spent working on a local college campus and some days based from home, with regular project progress meetings both online and in-person by arrangement.
There is the possibility of the successful candidate for this role taking on the planned part-time role for the actual delivery of this apprenticeship standard over the following 18 months.
What do you need to be successful as a Programme Designer at Activate Learning?
The successful candidate must have a relevant level 5 qualification or a comparable level of experience working in a role in the sector. You will need a contemporary understanding of the sector and the current and future trends that will impact it.
You will be fully IT literate and be an excellent communicator. You will be highly organised and detail oriented, along with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.
Ideally, you will have some experience of working in apprenticeships and of writing pedagogical material.
