Join Our Team as a SEN 1-1 Teaching Assistant!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Veritas Education invites applications for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant at a local Blackburn with Darwen Primary School.

Position: SEN 1-1 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: As soon as possible
Working Hours: 8.55 a.m. - 15.10 p.m.
Contract Type: Initially temporary, with potential for a contract extension

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one support to a child with special educational needs
- Assisting the child with activities and tasks as directed by the teacher
- Implementing individualized learning plans tailored to the child's needs
- Supporting the child's social and emotional development
- Communicating effectively with the SENCO, teachers, and parents/guardians

Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN
- Fluent in Urdu
- Ability to effectively communicate with a child who is hearing impaired
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with diverse needs

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Teaching Assistant (TA) certification
