Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant based in Gorton, Manchester.



Full-Time, Teaching Assistant with experience and knowledge working with children with SEN to work within an Resource Provision in a Primary School.

About the role:
- Resource Provision to support children with SEN within a mainstream Primary School.
- Teaching Assistant role - working with pupils 1:1 and supporting children in small groups.
- Role supported by SENCO, Headteacher and Deputy Head to offer guidance and mentoring.
- Full Time, 5 days a week. 08:30 - 15:30
- You should be able to use verbal and non-verbal communicators, alongside the use of 'Now and Next' cards and Visual Timelines.
- You should know that following routines is very important and hold good communication skills.
- You will be working closely with the school SENCO and Class Teacher to support with Maths and Literacy work alongside other subjects.
- Within this role you will be given opportunities to build your own rapport of working with SEND and gain a further knowledge and understanding of Autism.

Role Requirements:
- Hold a current DBS, which is on the update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.
- Have previous experience working with children with SEN.
- Be a clear communicator, reliable and hard-working.
- Be available for work from 3rd June.
