As our Lead Support Worker, (internally we call this support coordinator) at Railway Terrace. Our customers support needs include homelessness, diagnosed or undiagnosed mental health, drug and substance misuse, and offending behaviour.
You will be at the heart of helping to develop customers skills to live more independently in the community. Including budgeting, domestic skills and tenancy management. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know!
Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator)
• Creating support plans with your customers (and coordinating other support plans for the service).
• You will empower customers to develop independent living skills they need, to successfully move on (if and when ready).
• You will offer support so that customers are able to live fulfilled lives in the community with a package of support.
• Working closely with external agencies so that there is a seamless approach to support.
• Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.

You bring
• Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working collaboratively with an eye for detail.
• Experience of creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues with this.
• Experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
• The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.
• Experienced in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, and data protection.
• IT skills: It's important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)

Job details
• Based on rota 8am - 8pm. Flexible to work shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
• Work pattern, you will work on a rota, with a variety of shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
• There will be aspects of lone working however we do get together regularly.
• Hold a valid, clean driving licence, with a vehicle insured for business purposes. (We will reimburse any expenses).
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
