Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Endocrine Specialist Nurse , looking after patients with a cancer of the endocrine system throughout the whole pathway. We are looking for a nurse with experience of caring for patients with endocrine cancers either in an oncological or surgical setting.

The successful applicant will work in collaboration with members of the multi-professional and disciplinary team across both campuses, in coordinating a smooth pathway of care for our patients.

You will be an expert resource to patients, carers and clinical teams in relation to Endocrine cancer. This will include working autonomously, managing a case load of patients and developing and setting up Nurse led clinics.

To help develop the Endocrine service at NUH across both campuses.

The individual would carry out nurse-led clinics within the Endocrine surgery service.

Act as a lead for Endocrine cancer nursing care.

Act as resource to wider cancer team and other tumour sites.

To work closely with services already in place and implement personalised care.

To provide specialist training across functional boundaries as required.

Act as the key worker for patients assessing their needs, including EHNAs, providing support and referrals to appropriate services.
