Summary


Major Trauma

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic band 5 Nurse to become part of the C30 - Major Trauma Team. C30 is an 26 bedded specialist level 1 unit that cares for patients who have sustained multiple traumatic injuries.

C30 can be a fast pace, dynamic area to work in as we receive patients directly from the Emergency Department (ED), theatre, and critical care and patients who are repatriated from other hospitals.

Major Trauma is a rewarding area to work in especially when patients who have suffered severe injuries who make great progression and go home to their families or further rehabilitation.

This job position offers fantastic opportunities for clinical and professional development. C30 is a supportive and welcoming environment that will encourage individuals to achieve their goals whilst enhancing their clinical skills in areas such as: venepuncture, cannulation, epidurals, drains, wounds, PCA’s, cardiac monitoring, enteral feeding and tracheostomy care.


C30 has a dedicated clinical educator that provides support and assistance to all new starters during their transition to the Unit. This provides a highly supportive and friendly environment meaning all new starters will be supported through a preceptorship programme.


We are looking for a motivated, dedicated, patient focused individual who is committed to providing the highest quality care to patients during their admission on C30. They need to be keen to learn and develop their knowledge within the speciality.
