Summary

Our client based near Wetherby is looking to appoint a Health, Safety, and Compliance Coordinator on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, collaborating closely with the Production team and providing support to all departments and external parties concerning the health, safety, and welfare of employees and associates of the Company.

The successful candidate will hold NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent qualification and have a firm understanding of the application of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and other legislation relevant to the business, including RIDDOR. You will also undertake Risk Assessments and associated documentation for for topics such as, but not limited to:

COSHH
Working at Height
Lifting & Slinging
Construction of Temporary Structures
Mobile Plant
Manual Handling
HAV Exposure

Highly organised and able to work flexibly, under pressure and to tight deadlines
Drive, enthusiasm and commitment
Have a flexible approach to working hours, to meet the needs of the business as required
Willingness to undertake relevant training as appropriate
Essential experience:

Previous experience of working in a H&S role in a construction/manufacturing business
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and a methodical approach
Strong teamwork skills across different departments
IT literate with a comprehensive understanding of Windows Excel, Outlook & Word
Desirable experience:

Previous multi-site experience
Experience of working with ISO18001/14001/9001
Hours of work Monday to Friday 7.30 to 1600, with overtime as required. Salary up to £33,500 per annum.
