Summary

Lead Technical Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Darlington
Hours: 6am-2pm / 1pm-9pm, Mon-Fri Rotating

Salary: £40,000 to £42,000 per annum.

Overview:
We need someone to lead our maintenance team, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely at our sites, adhering to industry standards and company policies.

Key Tasks:

  • Prioritise safety and ensure everyone understands safety protocols.
  • Train team members on issue reporting procedures.
  • Oversee timely completion of planned and emergency maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with company and client guidelines, as well as manufacturer recommendations.
  • Keep maintenance records updated accurately.
  • Manage contractors during their presence on site.
  • Perform quality checks on contractor's work and equipment.
  • Maintain electronic logs.
  • Ensure team members receive necessary training.
  • Support and train client personnel when needed.
  • Uphold the company's professional reputation.

Decision Making/Budgetary Control:

  • Make necessary decisions for task completion.
  • Manage spare parts and tools inventory.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and contractors for cost-effective solutions.

Success Measures/Objectives:

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Meet contract deadlines consistently.
  • Keep maintenance records up to date.

Skills:

  • Proficient in heating, plumbing, or electrical work.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical blueprints.
  • Competent in basic computer software.
  • Effective delegation and monitoring skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of supervising contractors.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
  • Previous facilities management experience is advantageous.

Aptitude:

  • Team player with leadership capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised and adaptable to varying workloads.

Circumstances:

  • Must possess a full UK driving license.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
