We have a wonderful job opportunity here at Purovets for a Senior In Patient Veterinary Surgeon at a RCVS accredited, award winning hospital in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Our client has built up an excellent reputation and a very loyal client base. Leeds is a vibrant, bustling city with fantastic shopping facilities and plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. With excellent train links to other major cities and a direct train to London in 2 hours, it is very commutable.

Our client is currently seeking a talented and passionate Vet with a strong interest in medicine and inpatient care. This role is crucial in ensuring the continuity of care for hospitalised patients. Collaboration with other veterinary professionals in the team is essential for medical, imaging, or surgical procedures. Additionally, overseeing the handover of patient care to the night team is a key responsibility. In some cases, the role may also involve attending to emergencies.

This high-quality, busy 24/7 Tier 3 Hospital in West Yorkshire, is supported by four branch clinics. The team is known for their dedication to supporting one another, clinical excellence, and providing exceptional patient and client care. The practice takes pride in its commitment to sustainability and holds the Investors in the Environment Bronze award.

The facilities and equipment are top-notch, featuring a full imaging suite with X-ray, multiple ultrasound scanners, onsite CT, and visiting MRI. With four theatres supported by a dedicated surgical nursing team and led by certificate holders, the surgical services are of the highest standard. The dental suite, equipped with X-ray capabilities, ensures comprehensive oral care. Endoscopy, including laparoscopy, is available along with excellent in-patient facilities, separate wards for dogs, cats, and exotic pets, ICU, and an onsite lab staffed by a dedicated technician proficient in haem/biochem/coags/EPOC. Moreover, separate waiting areas for dogs and cats, along with seven consultation rooms, prioritise patient comfort and convenience.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and experienced team of veterinary staff. Our client has been awarded Gold status by the ISFM and received a silver award from the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund, highlighting their commitment to feline and rabbit care.
