You’ll receive 26 days holiday plus BH, increasing to 29 days with long service, a discretionary annual bonus, access to a salary sacrifice pension scheme and a healthcare scheme – you’ll also be able to enrol in their Employee Share Scheme after 12 months service. Hours of work are 08.30am to 17:00pm Mon-Thu, 08.30am to 15:00pm Fri
You’ll be managing the day-to-day activities of the Quality team, setting goals & objectives on a daily basis. This will help you develop the skills and knowledge of your team, to help their career. You’ll manage Continuous Improvement projects by coordinating resources and monitoring progress to ensure successful conclusion through training, coaching and leading effective CI meetings, ensuring the effective use of lean techniques and methodologies. You’ll need to be a confident communicator who can interact well internally, as well as with visiting customers.
You’ll manage any non-conformance issues, and implement plans to improve processes, including analysis of any near misses or accidents to identify root causes. This will help you to ensure the business is legally compliant from an EHS perspective.
You’ll also assist with introducing additional quality standards, and oversee the successful management and accreditation of current business certifications (ISO9001, 14001, 45001 and Atex / IEC 80079-34)
To be successfully considered for this position you will need to have previously been responsible for SHEQ and compliance in a previous role, have the ability to problem solve using lean techniques (8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa) and be able to successfully manage Internal and External ISO audits.
