We are looking for a committed FEMALE care worker to support two women remain independent at home. The role involves meal preparation, personal care, medication prompting and healthcare tasks as necessary.
One woman is young at heart with an outgoing bubbly personality. She spends much of her time confined to bed because of her medical needs and requires support with all aspects of her daily living tasks. She lives at home with her husband and extended family members.
The second woman is elderly and due to poor mobility and declining memory needs somebody to support her with daily living tasks. The woman has recently suffered a fall and has just returned to her home environment. The support is to help her manage at home whilst her main carer is at work.
The ideal applicant will be -
· Experienced in providing domiciliary care including healthcare tasks· Must be FEMALE due to personal care support· have a mature nature· Be outgoing and chatty but be able to ‘work whilst they talk’· Be able to meet the physical demands of the role such as moving & handling tasks· Must like dogs as there is a small family pet in the property
Rate of Pay: £13.09 per hour
Hours Breakdown:
· AM call 9am – 1 ½ hours x 2 days per week· Lunch call 12 pm – 30 minutes x 2 days per week· Tea time call 4:00pm – 30 minutes x 2 days per week· Evening call 8pm – 1 hour x 2 days per week
Time of calls are approximate and the two days per week are negotiable
Holiday pay – 5.6 weeks pro rata per year
A full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate will be required. Full cost will be met by the employer
Training will be provided as appropriate. This will include medication administration, Adult Safeguarding, demonstration of moving handling plan plus training deemed appropriate by employer.
