Summary

Job responsibilities Apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of their clinical scope of practice Must be capable of working alone providing solo first response and confident working with a wider team. Responding to emergency and non-emergency requests calmly, efficiently and promptly; Administering basic life support to patients at the scene, in a pre-hospital/pre-transport setting in accordance with their clinical scope of practice, Assessing the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritise medical procedures to be followed Completing patient care forms, insurance forms, evaluation forms, and all other forms in a competent and timely fashion. Cleaning, organising and restocking supplies in a ready condition after each use Respond to requests for emergency and non-emergency medical care at events and other duties related to assisting event staff with general tasks that support the event Handling radio communications professionally and efficiently with careful regard to the divulgence of information respecting confidentiality requests at all times Work cooperatively with assisting agencies. This may include, but is not limited to, the wider Event Staff, Volunteers, security teams, Ambulance Services, event participants and spectators. Be nice, professional, courteous and an all-around happy and pleasant person. The worker: Must perform all job responsibilities in a manner that protects patient privacy Is expected to protect the privacy of all patient information Is encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation Is expected to actively participate in monthly mandatory training (e-learning) and any other relevant training for their role. Must be a team player Ensure infection prevention and control measures are maintained, readiness, and adherence to quality assurance standards; Be flexible - work shift schedule may vary, and the start and shift times may vary due to the nature of the business; Maintain a thorough working knowledge of applicable current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses; Assure that all certifications and/ or registrations are up-to-date Conduct themselves in a courteous, helpful, dignified and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, their co-workers, supervisors and the public.
